For an early lunch before heading off to the 2 PM show of Kinky Boots, we decided to try DB Bistro Moderne. I had read  about the famous DB Burger that incorporated foie gras and truffle but I had had a latish breakfast and the thought of a burger was just too daunting. So I decided to take up the offer of one of my co-diners to have a taste of her burger and instead opted for the Alsatian Tarte Flambée.

I envisaged something along the lines of a quiche with white cheese, bacon and onions but when it arrived it turned out to be a flatbread with the cheese, bacon and onion topping.  It was tasty but more of a snack than a lunch item.

I enjoyed my bite of the DB Burger, a sirloin burger with braised short ribs, foie gras and black truffle served on a parmesan bun with fries.

The third lunch item ordered was the grilled chicken salad, a breast of chicken served on a bed of lettuce, watermelon radish, avocado and cilantro.

The cafe brulot dessert was a dark chocolate devil's food cake, with caramelized orange marshmallows, Grand Marnier coffee foam and burnt orange ice-cream. Very sweet.

The service was efficient and the location very convenient for our afternoon show.
